Question 1

How do pre-orders work on AmiAmi?

Accepted Answer

Pre-orders are reservations placed before an item is officially released. AmiAmi will email you a payment request when the reserved item is ready to ship, typically during the period marked as "Release Date". Pre-order slots are generally limited: once filled, the product status becomes "Pre-orders Closed".

Note: Placing a pre-order is a firm commitment to purchase the product. It should not be done lightly, as canceling a pre-order or failing to pay for an order can result in a strike on your account.

Question 2

What is the difference between Pre-order and Add to Cart?

Accepted Answer

Pre-order: Used for items that have not yet been released. Payment is requested once the product is ready, typically during the "Release Date" period.
Add to Cart: Used for items currently available in stock. The payment request email is typically sent within one business day.

If you combine in-stock and pre-order items within the same order, shipping may be delayed until all products are available. If you prefer to receive them separately, select "Ship separately" at checkout when available.

Question 3

How do I get notified when a pre-order opens or a restock occurs?

Accepted Answer

On Fumoshare in your notification settings you can enable notifications to find out whenever a Fumo opens for pre-order or becomes available again. You can choose which alerts to receive: - All New Fumo Preorders: all newly opened pre-orders. - Wishlist Fumo Preorder: pre-orders for Fumos on your wishlist. - All New Fumos In Stock: all Fumos restocked in stock. - Wishlist Fumo In Stock: restocks for Fumos on your wishlist. You can receive alerts via In-app or Push directly on your smartphone by downloading the official Fumoshare app. If you prefer Discord alerts, you can join our Discord server.

Question 4

What are strikes on AmiAmi?

Accepted Answer

Strikes are automatic warnings received on your account whenever you fail to fulfill commitments made with an order.

Specifically:
- Canceling a pre-order: Can lead to a strike, especially if the cancellation breaches AmiAmi policy terms.
- Failing to pay for an order: Ignoring a payment request or allowing the payment deadline to expire without paying can incur a strike, and repeated offenses can lead to account suspension or permanent closure.

AmiAmi reviews cancellations and unpaid orders based on their guidelines and case-by-case context. While not every cancellation automatically results in a strike, you should never place orders you are not certain you can pay for.

Tip: Before confirming a pre-order, verify that you can cover both item price and shipping costs. If your plans change, reach out to AmiAmi support promptly rather than simply ignoring the payment request.

Question 5

Do I have to pay customs fees when buying from AmiAmi, and how do I calculate the total cost?

Accepted Answer

Yes, VAT, import duties, and local customs handling fees may apply. To calculate the final cost, add together the plush price, international shipping fees, and any applicable import charges. Exact amounts depend on your destination country and its local tax regulations.

Question 6

Which shipping method should I choose?

Accepted Answer

DHL Express: Usually 3-10 days, includes full tracking.
EMS: Usually 1-3 weeks, includes tracking.
Air Parcel: Usually 2-4 weeks, includes tracking.
Surface Parcel: Usually 2-4 months; more economical, but significantly slower.
Air Small Packet Unregistered: Offers neither tracking nor insurance and is therefore not recommended.

Transit times are estimates and may vary by destination country, customs clearance, and season. Costs and coverage terms also depend on the chosen shipping carrier.
