When you think of serious tech reviews, a Fumo plushie is probably the last thing you'd expect to see front and center. Yet that's exactly what happened on NotebookCheck, which published a brightness comparison of the new Google Pixel 11 Pro's flash.
The test, originally shared by X user @multithreddy, compared the Pixel 11 Pro's flash and torch against rivals like the Galaxy Z TriFold and the iPhone 17e, as well as its own predecessor, the Pixel 9 Pro. All phones were set to a fixed manual exposure with flashlight intensity maxed out, ensuring a fair comparison.
And the subject of the photos, lit up from every angle and exposed to flash and torch light from four different smartphones? A Fumo, sitting calmly while getting blasted with light in the name of science (or at least tech journalism).
The result of the test, though, is far from trivial: the Pixel 11 Pro consistently came out as the dimmest of the group, in both torch mode and camera flash. The likely culprit is the same diffuser that powers the HiLight notification ring, sitting directly over the main flash LED, which probably cuts into its output.
So between spec sheets, brightness measurements, and LED diffusers, our Fumo did her part for tech progress too — staying, as always, unbothered under the spotlight.
