Fumo cleaning
So it'll be on my post but I cleaned my Aya Shameimaru fumo specifically the touhou ten version. I only point out the version due to its slight differences needing to be cautious of mid clean. So my problem was the yellowed frills on her skirt. I suggest always Luke warm water to clean any fumo as too hot of water can ruin any parts that are glued on.
You can use a tooth brush to clean any parts you wish but on the eyes you will want to scrub left to right to avoid destroying the embroidery.
I didn't do this mainly cause it was only the yellowing I was after to clean.
I used tide myself as it's not too strong of a detergent to harm the fumo, do keep that in mind when you are getting ready to clean. I would suggest for basic dirty cleaning repeated washing until no dirty water is left over in your bowl, be sure to dump the dirty water for new clean water at the same lukewarm temp. For the frills I just soaped my hands and rubbed into them with the detergent till they had turned white.
At that point I had begun drying and a special process I call "smumo" I'll spray the fumo in the drying process with a perfume and or my cologne to make it smell good. For Aya I used my citrus vanilla spray, this is optional I just like doing this.
To dry it first I suggest draining any and all water then wrapping it in a towel once the towel is soaked either replace it with new one or let the fumo air dry. I suggest keeping it in a warm room. Its best to keep your fumo drying in a good spot to prevent possible mold and or bad smell latching onto it.
