Explore the different Fumo sizes

When you hear the word "Fumo," you probably picture the classic 20cm plush sitting neatly on a shelf. But over the years, Gift has expanded the Fumo lineup to include a variety of different sizes, ranging from pocket-sized keychains to absolute giants that take up half a bed.

Here is a complete breakdown of every official Fumo size you might encounter in the wild.

Standard (20cm)

This is the baseline and by far the most common size. When people talk about Fumos, this is usually what they mean.

• Height: Approximately 20cm (about 8 inches) while in a sitting position.
• Variations: The exact height can vary slightly depending on the character's design. For instance, Reisen and Tewi are noticeably taller because of their long rabbit ears, and Okina Matara comes with a separate chair that adds to her overall display height.
• Availability: With nearly 100 different standard Fumos released to date, this size has the widest character selection.

Mannaka (40cm)

The "Mannaka" (真ん中) size translates to "middle." As the name suggests, it sits right between the standard size and the massive Deka Fumos.

• Height: Roughly 40cm (about 16 inches).
• Details: Exactly double the height of a standard Fumo, retaining all the chibi proportions but in a much more huggable form factor. Just like the standard size, characters with tall hats or animal ears (like Ran Yakumo) will measure a bit taller.
• Availability: Introduced as a middle ground, this line features popular characters like Satori, Koishi, Reimu, and Marisa.

Deka (70-80cm)

"Deka" (でか) comes from the Japanese word dekai, meaning huge—and these absolutely live up to the name. They are the holy grail for many collectors due to their massive size and high cost.

• Height: Between 70cm and 80cm (up to 31.5 inches).
• Details: These are four times the size of a standard Fumo. Because of their sheer volume and the materials required, they are significantly more expensive (originally retailing for hundreds of dollars, and fetching up to $3,000 on the secondhand market).
• Availability: Gift first started producing Dekas in 2009 in extremely limited quantities. After a long hiatus starting in 2012, they finally resumed production in 2020.

17cm Minis

A newer and slightly more compact variant of the classic Fumo, designed for easier display and travel.

• Height: 17cm.
• Details: Visually, they look almost identical to the standard 20cm line, just scaled down slightly.
• Availability: This is a relatively new line. The first two (Koishi and Satori) were debuted in mid-2025 at BilliBilli World, with more characters like Remilia, Flandre, and Sakuya slated for the future.

Toy Straps & Puppets

If you want something even more portable (or interactive), Gift has experimented with a few alternative formats:

• Toy Straps: Introduced in 2016 (starting with Kourindou versions of Reimu and Marisa), these are tiny Fumos featuring a strap attached to their heads, meant to be used as keychains or bag charms.
• Puppets: About 40cm tall, these are functional hand puppets styled exactly like the plushies, allowing for a bit more interactive fun.
